Kristy finally got done with unpacking all her things, her flight had been long and boring but she was finally here. She found out that she was staying with another Freshman by the name of Aureile Rush, she was ecstatc to meet her and find out what her sport is. She knew the academy was all about sports so she was glad to be here. Back home in America she wouldnt have a chance like this so it was a grand experiance. She laid on her bed and took out her cell phone it had pictures of her horse Silver and her mother back home. She wanted to bring Silver but her mother had insisted that she ride the Schools horses, and when she went home for the summer and breaks she would be able to ride Silver.
Sighing and stood up and went to the bathroom to clean up a little so that she could look presentable for her roommate.

Another day, another dollar in the piggy bank - meaning this in a figurative sense rather than literal since the one named Aurelie Rush was, as of the moment, reigning in the unemployed train! Not that it mattered to her, of course. She was perfectly happy and content with having no job at the moment, especially now that she had a sister to be with, friends to crash with and a boyfriend to... something. Speaking of boyfriend; Mitchell wasn't being very nice, as per usual. Furrowing her brow at the book he had in his hand, Aurelie had rarely enough time to figure out what he was doing before it hit her square in the face and she fell. A familiar voice was yelling at her to get out of the room before something else happened - no need to tell her twice; Aurelie scrambled to her feet a little light-headed and tottered down the halls to the female dorm. Sometime this morning; some person had told her of a new student coming to Perth; this was both exciting and daunting but only because said new person was a freshman, and would be sharing her dorm. Aurelie wasn't too keen on the idea of meeting another person but she could deal. Well, she hoped so.
Aurelie's slender hand was pressed over her pale face, the palm firmly over the corner of her eye with her hair pushed out of the way. No doubt a bruise was forming already. Taking a deep breath as she approached her dorm, the red head pushed the door handle down with her free hand and stepped inside her dorm; shutting it quietly behind her. Green eyes scanned the room, searching, stopping on the new suitcase shoved under the un-used bed. Feeling her throat constricting; Aurelie crossed to her own bed then thought better of it and crossed to the small, kitchenette sink and ran the tap. Grabbing a few paper towels from the holdel, the seventeen year old wet them, wrung them out a little and then pressed them against her face; she leaned across the sink and let out a small sigh. What she wouldn't give to have a better life, she hoped the new person wouldn't be questioning about what had happened. Then again... the bruise was there, so she might, right?

Kristy heard the door open and close she smiled but she wasnt done in the bathroom she was still brushing her teeth, she was adament on clean teeth. Ever since she had gotten her braces off four years ago she brushed her teeth at least twice a day if not more, her mom would always joke with her that if she brushed her teeth too much in a day that there would be nothing left by the time she was twenty. Thinking about her mother brough a small knot in her stomach and a sting in her eyes. She grabbed ahold of the sink while her blurred vision came back to normal and her stomach didnt hurt anymore. She sighed and washed her face again all traces of tears and fear washed from her face. She turned off the water and walked out into the dorm room where she saw a red headed girl with a wet towel over her face. Normally she would ask a serious question like, if the girl was alright but with this being a sports academy she wasnt exactly worried.
She sighed and smiled, "Hi you must be my dorm mate its nice to finally meet you...Im Kristy Learing Equestrian" she says sticking her hand out to shake. Her words had come out faster than she had hopped, she was letting her nerves get the best of her and that was annoying.

Staring at the water in the sink, Aurelie allowed for a moment of utter silence where she began to think about certain aspects of her life - didn't last very long until the bathroom door opened and the blonde girl came out. Pressing the towel closer to her face, the red head took a couple of seconds before she turned around to face her dorm mate; the girl she was either going to spend the rest of her freshman year with sharing the dorm; the sharing a dorm with for her entire stay here. If it was the latter she would prefer to not be her enemy, maybe not even her friend if there was something up with the girl. Though she knew not to judge a book by it's cover; Aurelie had had her fair share of being too quick to befriend a person and them turning out to be a complete bastard.
Then the girl spoke and stuck out her hand to shake. It took Aurelie a small while to fully understand what she meant by her outstretched hand; her brain working overtime with thoughts of Mitchell's latest revelation. When she finally clicked on she was a little hesitant to shake, but she did raise her hand and grasped the blondes; Kristy's, hand very gently. The girl had spoken fast though, a little puzzling yet somehow Aurelie had understood what had been said. "Aurelie Rush; Parkour." Came her French accent mixed with her Southern, 'hick' accent - it only became mixed like this when she was nervous. "Nice to meet you." Shaking Kristy's hand, Aurelie let go and shoved it into the pocket of her 'Hum Hallelujah' pocket, her old band.

Kristy smiled ever so slightly it seemed the girl was a little timid. But when she spoke she had an amazing accent, not one Kristy had heard before. Usually she wouldnt be so rude as to ask where she had lived before this school but it came out, "Did you happen to live in France before moving here?" she asks, and blushes in embaressment. She didnt want to come on strong but sometimes she couldnt help it.
She let her hand drop her her tommy jeans, even though she wasnt one for amazing fashion she had wanted to look good on her first day so her mother had bought her custom jeans and top. She loved them but knew she probably would never wear them again. Feeling uncomfertable standing she went to sit on her bed.

She was beginning to feel slightly more comfortable with the new girl now; she seemed quiet and wanting to talk to people to keep herself active; Aurelie didn't mind this, much. When she had spoken she hadn't really noticed her accents joining together, well at least not until the blonde had asked her about it - obviously she had noticed the two accents. "Oui, I was born in France." Aurelie nodded her head gently and dropped the hand holding the wet paper towels from her head, dumping them into the trash can she then ran the tap and slipped her hands underneath the running water before grabbing another couple of paper towels and drying her hands off, unnoticing of the blonde's blush of embarrassment.
Once she was done drying her hands off, Aurelie watched Kristy move over to her own bed and sit herself down on it. Placing the palm of her hand against the corner of the side, she relaxed herself and leaned against it. Bringing her hand up to her head and brushed her hair out of her eyes. Not really too sure on what to say, the seventeen year old chewed on her lower lip while a million and three questions ran through her mind. "Hey, uhm.." she started, French accent not so much. "do you mind if I put some music on?" being polite was one of the things that Aurelie knew how to be, amongst many others. She pushed herself away from the side and moved over to the music system that had several CD cases on top.

Kristy nods, “Yeah go ahead…” she smiles looking around the room again. She sighed and grabbed her laptop off her bedside table. It was the latest in technology and it was brown with thin green stripes. She loved it. Her mother had bought her it just days before Kristy had left. She was still getting used to it but she was usually pretty good with computers, she made the WebPages for her mothers’ barn and business. She was always getting a perfect one hundred percent in Information Tech so she knew she had a pretty good idea about this kinda stuff. She sighed and looked around the room again and her gaze landed on her roommate. She didn’t want to sound rude but the question just bubbled out, “So did you get hurt practicing your sport?” she asks looking pointedly at the girls hand which was still covering her face.

Aurelie nodded when Kristy confirmed that she could put some music on; it would help her relax a little and become more comfortable with the new person in the dorm. She knew that she'd have to share a dorm at some point, she just didn't expect it to be so soon, not that she minded, of course. Kristy was nice enough, it was just Aurelie's personality with meeting new people and going through change - no matter how large or small it was. Selecting a CD from the stack on the player, the red head popped it into the player and hit the play button. Adjusting the volume so that it wasn't up too loud she then crossed over to her bed and laid down upon it, staring at the ceiling.
For a while she lay there in silence, listening to the familiar sound of her voice and Jeremy's guitar playing in the background - it was an acoustic song of their's from last year. After a few more seconds, Aurelie started humming very quietly along with the song until a voice pulled her away from the reminiscent moment and back down to earth. "Huh?" She was a little confused. Having been pulled from a flashback to reality made her slightly slow. Recovering almost immediately, the little seventeen year old turned her head to face Kristy and thought for a moment about the answer. She couldn't say that Mitchell had hurt her, but she also couldn't lie. "Oh, no." she whispered loudly. "I, uh, walked into something." she admitted - it wasn't exactly a lie, but it also wasn't exactly the truth either.

Kristy smiles and nods, "oh..." she says and then looks at her computer. She had run into many walls in her time but never did they give her a mark. She sighed and opened up her email and typed in her user and password. She sighed when she saw she had over fifty emails from friends and family back home. She laughed a little and started opening them all. She hated when her email was so full.
When she finally got done with the tenth email she looked up, "sorry worried family...well an friends as well." she shakes her head and looks back down at her computer. Sick of typing she shut it down and would wait till later to finish all the emails. She looked at her roommate again, "So did you just get here today? Or have you been here awhile?" she asks. For some reason there was a slight edge to her voice and she didnt know why.

Aurelie simply nodded and turned back to the music stereo; selecting one of her old albums and shoving it in - normally she didn't like listening to her old music, but when she felt as bad as she did now, she just had too. In order to get away from the present she needed to delve into the past and listen to what had been, because what had been, had been the best time of her life and there was no way in hell that she was going to pass up the chance to listen to it, again. Kristy laughed a little and Aurelie looked over at her for a few seconds before turning back to the music and moving.
By the time Kristy had opened her tenth email, Aurelie had positioned herself on her bed rather precariously - laying with her feet on the pillow and her head over the end of the bed; supported by her other pillow, her body was almost over the edge of the whole bed and her arm was dangling over the end of the bed with the control in her hand. Kristy spoke and Aurelie simply nodded her head in response. Listening to the music, not really listening to Kristy. However, she heard the questions and had to answer this time. "I've been here a while." She replied in her usual small voice, before going back to listening to her old music; singing along with the lyrics very quietly.

Kristy looked at her posistion and smiled she seemed so comfertable here already. She didnt know how long it was going to take her to be able to feel free or anything like that. At her old school she had been a sort of rebel, she had done things behind her mothers back. That of course her mother didnt know about even to this day, but she had never done the most evil of them all. She sighed and rolled to her side and stopped thinking about things. She looked at her roommate again.
Finally nodding, "Yeah I would have been here a week ago but I had a final horse show I had to attend and it delayed me for a few days" she says smiling. She had gotten Grand Champ at that show, winning all her classes and only getting one second place. She had worked so hard this past year to do well at the Nationals and she was glad she had walked away with something to prove that she was an amazing rider.

Yes, Aurelie was actually very comfortable in this position, though it probably looked like a rather uncomfortable one, you just had to try it before you knocked it though. Otherwise you wouldn't really understand. The red head smiled very faintly as she continued to sing very quietly under her breath, her voice mingled with the voice on the CD so that it sounded as one; she sounded better live than she did on CD's, and vaguely wondered if Kristy had heard of her band. As she lay there, Aurelie thought about all the good and bad things in her life, wondering what it would be like if she hadn't had the fame, the glory and the voice that everyone recognised. Maybe it would have been better for her? She didn't know. Kristy looked over at her again and she smiled faintly at her.
Yeah, I would have been here a week ago but I had a final horse show I had to attend and it delayed me for a few days. Aurelie could relate to that, she too had been a little late in her arrival at the new school. She nodded and opened her mouth to speak, just as the singing stopped and talking started - well, it was a live concert CD she had done a year ago. "Oui, I was supposed to be here early too, but we had a few last minute things to clear up, and our manager wanted us to do one more signing before I left to come here." Aurelie smiled a little and flicked a button on the remote to change the track to her favourite song.
