Morning time in Perth Sporting Academy. If Edward were someone else, he would enjoy the hustle and bustle of students running to their classes or the cafeteria. But not Edward Potter. Mornings were not his thing. It seemed illogical to actually want to get up at some ungodly hour and want to learn. But, he was a teacher now. He needed to set a good example, he supposed. Though at the thought of setting a good example all the mistakes from his past came rushing to his mind, he felt guilty. Hell, he hadn't even graduated high school. After Zoe had gotten pregnant ... it had just gone downhill, and fast.
To be completely honest, if it wasn't for his little brother, Jacob, Edward would most likely not be at PSA. Jacob had put in a good word, or done something to help him out. Which, of course, made him feel incredibly guilty and worthless that he had to rely on his baby brother to help him get a job. Luckily the guys at Perth seemed to be understanding and went over the details of his past with care. They saw his test scores, which had always been okay but not great. However, history was the one subject that he had always excelled in. And so, he was the soccer coach and history teaching assistant. After all, what would parents think if they knew that a college drop out who ran away from his problems was teaching their "precious little angels"?
Arriving at school around eight-thirty, he heard his stomach growling loudly. His first class didn't start until nine forty-five, so he had plenty of time. Walking down the hallways, passing students, he kept his face friendly but still stern. All the while never smiling. Yawning all the way. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he reached the cafeteria's enterance. Scanning his ID, he grabbed a tray and headed toward the line of students picking out their breakfasts. Eggs, bacon, biscuits, sausage, cereals, coffee for the teachers, juices and milk all lined the way. He if ate like this every meal, he'd gain ten pounds in a week. Deciding on a large cup of black coffee with cereal, since he had never been a breakfast fan, anyway; usually getting up just in time for lunch, he headed to the tables.
Most of them were all taken, though there were a few spots that had empty seats. Edward was in no mood to sit with his prospective students, so he simply kept walking. His tray with his bowl of cereal, a banana and his coffee grasp firmly in his hands. He realized that he was holding onto the tray for dear life, as if the tray were some kind of invisibility shield. Sighing softly with relief, he found a completely empty table at the very end. Placing is tray down, he pulled the chair out and sat down. Moving to the coffee first, he took a sip, letting the caffeine help his brain cells wake up.

* harley sky walker-------------------------------- Harley yawned loudly as she finally awoke from her three hours of sleep. Three hours wasn't a lot, especially if you was supposed to be a gymnast. She hated not getting enough sleep, but she couldn't sleep last night for one reason and one reason only, she was scared, scared she was going to fail. She had only been at this school for around a week or so, but she was still scared of failing, she was younger than all the other students here and she had gotten in on a fluke, she had no idea how she had gotten into this school, only that she had and she had been posted up with a foster home when she wasn't in school. She was finally up and started trying to decide on today's outfit. She was feeling slightly Disney, although she was every day and she wanted to wear the skirt one of the carnies had sent her in the post lately. She grinned as she pulled it from her wardrobe and smiled as she waved in the air for a moment. She then slipped it on after taking off her pyjama bottoms. Next, off came the pyjama top and she slipped on her Tinkerbell t-shirt with a wide grin. She put on her Mickey Mouse necklace and pulled her hair out of the chain. She smiled slightly as she glanced in the mirror. She guessed it was about time to get some breakfast so she slipped on her Converse with a little smile. She wanted to take her safety teddy, but decided against it because she knew that people would mock her even more.
Slowly, she made her way down the stairs of the dorm building, being as careful as possible not to fall over and make a fool of herself. Once out of the dorm building she walked across to the cafeteria building to get her breakfast. She was used to have large breakfasts thanks to her father always shovelling food down her throat to keep her full of energy, breakfast was the most important meal and she would be an idiot to miss it. She grabbed a tray and got into the queue, slowly gathering what she thought would be the best meal; eggs, bacon, toast, sausages, cereals, an apple and who could forget the milk. Yes, that was a lot for this tiny girl, but she had a large appetite and she got free meals so she was abusing that right today. As she got to the till she gave them her name, so they could note it down so she didn't take more food later. She began to look for somewhere to sit, scanning the room for some friends, at least one, but she hadn't really made a friend yet, apart from with her teachers, which wasn't good. She was bullied still sometimes, people snickered at her and she could hear them now. She sighed to herself and carried on looking.
Her eyes finally stopped looking and rested on the teacher who taught her history, Mister Potter. She found it a little amusing as she was a bit of a fan of Harry Potter, but she never made jokes because she had enough because of the whole 'Sky Walker' thing, then add the 'Harley' thing and people either make jokes about Star Wars or Batman. She didn't mind it, as long as they weren't stuffing her in dustbins she was fine. She finally walked up to Mister Potter's table and smiled slightly, you knew you had hit rock bottom when you had to eat breakfast with a teacher. "Morning sir, don't mind if I sit with you, do you?" she asked him politely, still standing, she felt if she sat down, she would be forcing him to say yes, standing back, he could request her to move on, she didn't mind, it was up to him, she just wanted someone to sit with for a while.
----------------once upon a time there was a girl named HARLEY. she went along to CAFETERIA and hung out with EDWARD POTTER. it was a very beautiful day even though it was SLIGHTLY DULL and it was some time in the MORNING. it took her around SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY NINE words to actually FINISH what she was saying. she was wearing a beutiful OUTFIT that is probably one of her favourites. of course, she didn't do it all alone, she has to thank MEfor the banner. and that's all she wrote for now, folks.

Busy chewing away on his cereal, it was almost as if Edward was in another world. His eyes were focused on the plain, off-white mug that held his steaming cup of black coffee. Picking it up, he heard a voice. Looking at the familiar face, he realized it was one of his students. The acrobat, no that wasn't it ... she was the tennis star ... hmm, not that either. The gymnast. Yes, that was mostly likely it ... he thought to himself. After being asked if she could sit with him, he simply smiled; trying to be friendly.
"Yeah, sure." he said. "And, look, you don't have to call me sir. It makes me sound old. Just call me Edward." he told her, moving his tray towards himself to make room, though their was plenty of it on the table. Suddenly, a thought came to him. What if this girl, Harley he believed her name was if his memory was correct, was one of "those" girls. He'd seen them before when he was in high school. They threw themselves at the teachers to help with their failing grades. Sure, she was quite pretty, but she had to be fifteen, maybe sixteen. Edward had a good fifteen years on her. Then again, he did like the young ones. Realizing where his thoughts were leading him, he needed to change the subject, and fast.
"So how's school going?" he asked, his attempt at making conversation pathetic. He was always horrid with starting conversations, though he was much better than his brother at talking to random strangers. Finally taking another sip of his coffee, he put it down on the table slowly. Looking to his plate, he realized he had nothing else to eat. He was still a bit hungry and he wished he had grabbed a piece of toast or a banana while he was still at the buffet line. But, he couldn't do anything about that now. Perhaps after Harley left, he would go back.
Quickly thinking of something else to ask, he smiled softly again. "Found any good rooms for ditching classes yet?" he asked, his tone slightly playful. Ditching class had been Edward's specialty as a student. Any class but history was often spent outside or in the parking lot, hanging out with his friends. On a good day, he would be up at the soccer field. But, now he found himself a teacher, sitting with a student at eighty forty-five in the morning. Never, in a billion years would he have expected that to have happened to Edward Theodore Potter.

* harley sky walker-------------------------------- Harley smiled as he finally replied to her, she was glad he did otherwise she would just be standing there like a complete idiot and have no where else to sit, unless she took her breakfast back to her dorm, she probably should have done that in the first place actually, save bothered the poor teacher who was trying to enjoy himself right about now, but then she didn't like being alone because that's when she thought back to her past and she started wishing she could go back home. It had only been a few days ago when she had actually tried to book a ticket to go back to Leonardo when she was interrupted by her gymnastics teacher and she stopped on the phone and returned to her class. She giggled slightly at the though of him feeling old, let's face it, she was fifteen, he WAS old to her, but that was neither here nor there. "Okay Edward," she said with a little smile. It felt weird calling a teacher Edward, but then again, wasn't it weird that you called someone sir just because they taught you a subject when he was just another person with a name. Shaking her head slightly she decided to tuck into her breakfast.
After a few spoonfuls of cereal, she heard his question and smiled after she had swallowed the last spoonful. "It's going magnificently," she said, smiling brightly, but there was a tone in her voice that said otherwise. Nothing could be going magnificently, especially since she had just lost her father and been torn out of the world she knew so well to move to another style of life, let alone a new country and family. It was all happening a little fast for this little kid, but then again, she just assumed that's the way life was, a fast moving ball that you just had to roll with as it went on. She smiled at him again, just to make sure that he believed her, she didn't like people feeling sorry for her, hence why she hadn't told anyone about her father dying really, but sadly everyone had found out about her being the daughter of a carny. She didn't really care that people knew, she just didn't understand why people disliked her for it, she had no idea of the bad connotations with carny folk. "Well, actually, if I'm truthful, it's a little weird," she said, smiling sheepishly and blushing lightly. She was a lot younger than the other students here and this lifestyle was just completely different from what she was used to.
A giggle escaped from those cute little pink lips of hers as he asked her about ditching classes. She never ditched class, she was too much of a nerd to even dream of doing that. "Well, I've found some good hiding places, if I'm honest," she said grinning slightly. Hiding places were important to her as she needed to get away from the people in this school sometimes, in case they decided to dump her in a dustbin. Although it hadn't escalated that far just yet, she was reduced to just being tormented so far, which was lucky, with in her first week of high school she had already been locked in a locker thanks to the popular jocks of the school. She was glad to be out of there in some ways, now she was new people, maybe she could find someone else to get a long with, after all, there were so many different people from so many different backgrounds and countries, there had to be at least on she could befriend, right?
