I've got the gift of one liners
And you've got the curse of curves
And with this gift I compose words
And the question that comes forward
. . . . . . .

The sunlight streamed through the window causing a blue tainted light to spread around the room. The beep beep of Casey's alarm rang through her dorm. She muttered somethign under her breath, reaching out blindly and eventually finding her alarm. Resisting the temptation to throw it across the room, she turned it off and yawned. For a few moments she blinked rapidly, her eyes ajusting to the light. She sighed, staring up at her ceiling. Her head was thumping. Damn these hangovers. Seriously. She hated them and it was all her adoptive mums fault she was an alcoholic and ex-druggie at that. The stupid cow. As much as Casey loved her adoptive mum she would never forgive her for fucking up her life majorly. Never ever ever.
Rubbing her eyes with the back of her hands she sighed. She didn't want to get up but couldn't just lay in bed all day. Reluctantly she pushed the covers off of her and sat up, looking around. It was always so silent in the mornings. Such a difference from last night. She stood up and padded over to her bathroom. Turning on the shower she grabbed a towel and stepped under the hot water. She washed her hair, the steamy water beginning to wake her up. She finished washing and dried herself off. Wondering what she should wear she put on some underwear before opening her wardrobe. She settled on soe denim shorts, black leggings and a green and white checkered shirt. She dried her hair off as best as she could with her towel after realizing she had lost her hair-dryer. Pulling her hair into a limp ponytail she looked herself in the mirror. She didn't look to bad, thank god.
She slipped on her black dolly shoes and grabbed her phone and purse before walking out the house. Humming quietly, she walked down the street towards the mall. She felt like walking today although she wasn't sure why. It just seemed better then driving even if it did take longer. Anyway she wasn't in any rush to get anywhere so she saw no need for a car or bus at this exact time. Checking her phone to see if she had any new messages, which she didn't, she finally arrived at the mall. It was pretty big and she was glad. A shopping trip was just what the doctor had ordered.
Pushing open the door she walked inside, thankful for the air conditioning. Her hair was still pretty wet and was creating a damp patch on her shirt. Joy. Looking round, she wondered where she could go first. Settling on a random shoe shop she walked in. A smile appeared on her face and she took a deep breath. She loved the smell of shoe shops it just calmed her down and made her happy. She looked around at all the different shoes. She payed a large amount of attention to a pair of black heels with silver studs in them. She sighed, knowing she really shouldn't buy them. They weren't needed but she really wanted to.. . . . . . .
